Women as Lovers
Description
A romance-drama that builds its narrative from consequences rather than conventional courtship scenes: Women as Lovers focuses on how a single in-person meeting sets off a chain of decisions and everyday actions that touch two lives. The film follows Brigitte, a hostess, and Paula, a life-loving schoolgirl, who meet only once; subsequent sequences track who they speak with, the choices they make about relationships and work, and how separate routines begin to affect one another. The cast includes Ulrike Willenbacher and Johanna Wokalek. Released in 2026, the film alternates between episodes in each woman's life, showing concrete steps—phone calls, visits, arguments, small concessions—that extend the impact of that meeting without resolving it on-screen. The cast also features Hannah Schiller and Victoria Trauttmansdorff.
