Striguni
Description
Boris takes a job at Origolab and tries to advance his research career while handling the practical work the new headquarters requires. Origolab has moved into the walls of a small medieval town in Istria, and Boris uncovers that the company's push toward what it calls a scientific breakthrough on eternal life is sustained by the abduction of local children. He traces altered medical records, follows security routes, and confronts witnesses; the film follows the concrete steps he takes as those discoveries force him to decide whether to risk rescuing the most recent kidnapping victim or remain to pursue the experiment. Striguni (2026) stages interrogation scenes, lab procedure detail, municipal meetings and the logistics of covert detention; the cast includes Antonio Scarpa, Tihana Lazović, Slavko Juraga and Kemal Rizvanović. The narrative shows how equipment, personnel and town politics enable the central operation and tightens around Boris’s narrowing options. It is dark in subject, rarely funny, and moves with a taut, accelerating pace.
