Jeju Olle
Description
Jeju Island, over the course of a week. After losing her cousin and longtime manager, Indian star Alisha leaves the spotlight to honor a promise they made and travels to the island. She unexpectedly meets Ha Sun-woo, a former K-pop idol and singer‐songwriter who has withdrawn from public life after his career and confidence were shaken. Their first contact is marked by a chaotic misunderstanding that forces repeated encounters; the film follows those early meetings and the small, often awkward steps that move them from strangers to something less defined. Across seven days they move through coastal roads and inland paths, exchange music, share laughter and long silences, and begin to disclose the personal wounds they’ve concealed. The cast includes Anushka Sen, Kang Hyung‐suk and Ha Ju‐young. Released in 2026, the film concentrates on concrete actions—meetings, songs, conversations—rather than on tidy resolution. It is gently comic more often than dark, and it unfolds at a slow, deliberate pace.
