Description

Rocha decides to pay for his daughter's wedding and organizes the ceremony on an island, then asks his colleagues Alexandre, Lima and Diguinho to join him with their families. His objective is straightforward: cover the costs and assemble the people closest to him for a single occasion. The opening sequences follow Rocha as he makes the financial and social arrangements that set the trip in motion. The film follows the group to the island and records the sequence of events that follow arrival and pre-wedding work. Initial plans for a concentrated period of preparation and celebration are shown in practical terms: schedules, invitations, seating and supply concerns. Those plans are progressively disturbed by a series of surprises and mishaps that affect schedules and expectations for the group. The four central adults coordinate with relatives, shuffle through appointments and try to keep the event on track; scenes document actions rather than impressions. People change shifts on tasks, phone calls interrupt meetings, and adult relationships are tested as responsibilities, misunderstandings and sudden changes force immediate responses. The narrative maps who does what when plans falter. This is a comedy released in 2026. The cast includes Léo Jaime, Charles Paraventi, Antonio Fragoso and Maurício Manfrini. Their presence frames a film driven by incidents: preparation scenes alternate with sequences in which characters must react, repair or improvise. The screenplay keeps the focus on specific events that complicate Rocha’s attempt to stage a smooth wedding. The film presents a series of concrete complications without resolving them in advance. Scenes show characters arriving late, appointments shifting and group conversations splintering; the succession of problems generates new tasks that require immediate, concrete decisions. Actions include arguing over priorities, negotiating compromises, and attempting quick fixes to prevent further disruption. Interpersonal exchanges provide the engine for much of the comedy: Rocha engages with colleagues to reassign duties, the invited families contribute their own demands and constraints, and the film records the practical consequences of a large group trying to cooperate under pressure. Characters drive to nearby points of contact, refuse or accept responsibilities, hide mistakes or admit them, and repeatedly adjust plans as incidents accumulate. Alongside Rocha’s effort to underwrite and organize the wedding, a secondary strand follows the invited families and colleagues as a collective unit coping with repeated interruptions to the schedule. That strand shows how group dynamics change over the course of the trip—who stays to solve problems, who withdraws, and how the assembled households reconfigure tasks and expectations while the wedding remains pending.
