I've Been Having Dreams

Description

A mud-streaked backpack lies on the hallway bench at dawn. After the unexpected death of a young girl, Max, the film follows her older brother Liam as recurring nightmares shaped by guilt begin to interrupt his sleep and the routines of his waking day. Scenes focus on the mechanics of those intrusions — repeated awakenings, the replaying of a single afternoon, the way a household item or a route to school can trigger a night terror — and on the practical consequences for Liam’s decisions and movements rather than on abstract symbolism. A parallel strand examines the household left behind and the small, concrete work of coping: who attends to bills, who sorts Max’s belongings, which family members speak or stay silent about what they remember. The cast includes Horatio Ctercteko, Gabriella Powis, Teula Wylde and Bernhard Siegmund. The film was released in 2026.
