Wonder Beast

Description

Resentment must claim the magical inheritance from her parents, but on the day of her coming of age she discovers the power meant for her is missing. Her parents are two powerful magicians who divorced yet continue to share authority over the child, and their divided control limits any straightforward fix. The only prescribed remedy is concrete and brutal: find a groom in the human world, hold a wedding and sacrifice him by turning him into a tree. The plot opens with that demand and the immediate obstacle of absent inheritance and shared parental power. Resentment crosses into the human world accompanied by Chudo Yudo, a mysterious companion who can transform into a bird, an animal or even a handsome prince; his shape-shifting is used to approach, deceive and test prospective grooms. The film follows the pair as they search, arrange meetings and confront the legalistic rules of fairy magic without resolving the final outcome. The 2026 family fantasy’s cast includes Sergey Bezrukov, Viktoriya Isakova, Sofia Lopunova and Mikita Voronov.
