David "Doc" Rowe has dedicated decades to documenting Britain's folk traditions, aiming to preserve a cultural legacy that is at risk of fading away. As he faces the reality of his own mortality, he accelerates his efforts to capture and archive these traditions before they are lost forever. The film follows his race against time, highlighting his interactions with various communities and the challenges he encounters in securing the preservation of their unique practices.
