Description

Thomas, a man who has been married to Mathilda for over 15 years, is faced with the sudden loss of his wife in an accident. After struggling to conceive children, the couple adopted a 4-year-old boy named Mapring from Thailand. Following Mathilda's death, Thomas finds himself alone with a child he had not truly embraced. Overwhelmed by grief and unable to connect with Mapring, he embarks on a quest to search for the boy's biological family, seeking answers and a sense of purpose. Accompanied by Chaan, a local guide, Thomas travels through Thailand, confronting his own emotional barriers while trying to understand Mapring's heritage. As their journey unfolds, Thomas and Mapring begin to form a tentative bond, gradually learning to communicate and support one another. However, the looming question of what will happen when they locate Mapring's biological family adds a layer of tension to their developing relationship.
