Don Quijote in Barcelona

Description

A stairwell in Barcelona serves as a refuge for Lluc, a former academic with deep cultural roots, and Olli, a Finnish drifter. As they both seek shelter from the elements, their initial interactions are marked by a sense of survival rather than charity. As they share their experiences, a bond develops that highlights their common humanity, revealing the struggles they face in their lives. The film also introduces Carla de Otero and Raül Llopart, who add depth to this narrative of connection and resilience. The story unfolds as Lluc and Olli confront their respective pasts while learning to rely on each other, culminating in moments that challenge their perceptions of dignity and belonging amidst the urban landscape.
