Description

A hot summer grips the city of N, where Pyotr, a garbage truck driver, empties bins under the relentless sun. With a wedding for his only son approaching, Pyotr contends with his son's cold demeanor and a community awaiting rain that never arrives. The bronze statue of Pushkin stands as a silent witness to the sweltering days, while the faint splashes from a small fountain offer a brief respite from the heat. As the wedding preparations unfold, tensions rise within the family and the community. Pyotr's efforts to bring joy clash with the indifference of his son, who remains resolute in his commitment to his parents despite the emotional distance. The film captures the mundane struggles of summer life, where the promise of rain hangs heavy in the air, yet the characters remain trapped in their routines. The cast includes Inna Kudryashova and Sergei Stepanchenko.
