True Colours Acquires Female Sniper Film Ahead of Venice Festival

True Colours, a sales company based in Rome, has announced its acquisition of "No Paradise If You Are Killed by a Woman," a drama directed by Halkawt Mustafa, who is of Norwegian-Kurdish descent. The film is set to make its world premiere in the Out of Competition section at the Venice Film Festival this September.

The narrative centers around the life of a female sniper, exploring themes of conflict, gender roles, and the complexities of war. The film's lead, Avan Jamal, is expected to deliver a compelling performance that reflects the harsh realities faced by women in combat situations. This project marks a significant entry into the festival circuit, as it aims to shed light on underrepresented perspectives in war narratives.
