James Marsden Discusses Enhanced Cyclops Role in Upcoming 'Avengers: Doomsday'

James Marsden, known for his portrayal of Cyclops in the original X-Men film series, has expressed enthusiasm about his character's development in the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday." Marsden believes this new installment will provide a more comprehensive exploration of Scott Summers, highlighting abilities and traits that were not fully utilized in previous adaptations.

In the early 2000s, Marsden's Cyclops was introduced as the X-Men's leader, yet the films often placed greater focus on other characters, limiting his onscreen potential. Fans felt that Cyclops, a character with significant depth in the comics, did not receive adequate representation in the Fox franchise.
