Children from Kibbutz Re'im Create a Film Reflecting Their Experiences

A group of children from Kibbutz Re'im, located near the Gaza border, have come together to produce a short film titled "Little Treasures." This initiative allows them to express their feelings and experiences following the events of October 7, providing a platform for young survivors to share their narratives through the art of filmmaking.

In "Little Treasures," two children, aged around 10 or 11, navigate their daily lives while addressing common childhood concerns such as school and academic pressures. As they journey through their familiar surroundings, they stumble upon an unexpected discovery that changes their perspective. This film not only captures their innocence but also serves as a testament to resilience in the face of adversity.

This project is part of a broader effort to engage children from areas affected by conflict, enabling them to articulate their stories and emotions. By participating in this filmmaking process, these young individuals are not only honing their creative skills but also finding a way to cope with their realities. "Little Treasures" stands as a poignant reminder of the power of storytelling, especially for those who have faced significant challenges in their formative years.
