Ava DuVernay's Documentary on the 14th Amendment to Premiere at New York Film Festival

Ava DuVernay's latest documentary, titled "14th," is set to make its world premiere as the closing night feature of the 2026 New York Film Festival. This film, which will be available on Netflix, serves as a follow-up to her acclaimed work "13th," which examined the intricacies of the U.S. penal system and its relationship with race.

"14th" delves into the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution, a pivotal legal framework that addresses issues such as birthright citizenship, due process, and equal protection under the law. The documentary also highlights the amendment's historical significance in combating insurrectionist actions by elected officials.
