Ubuntu Nation - The Voice of the Voiceless

Description

The Dzaleka refugee camp, established in 1994 to accommodate 10,000 individuals, now shelters 44,000 refugees fleeing political, religious, and ethnic conflicts, primarily from the Democratic Republic of Congo. These residents live in poverty and face discrimination, with restrictions preventing them from leaving the camp. In response to this dire situation, four young individuals unite to promote dignity, work, and education among the refugees by embracing the philosophy of Ubuntu. "Ubuntu Nation - The Voice of the Voiceless" documents the efforts of these young activists as they strive to uplift their community. The film highlights the challenges faced by the refugees while showcasing initiatives aimed at fostering hope and resilience. Through personal stories and collective action, the narrative illustrates the power of solidarity and the impact of grassroots movements in addressing social injustices. The cast includes Maick Mutej, Prince Kalolo, Felly B. Zihalirwa, and Frank Kabamba.
