Too Many Beasts
Description
Farmers in the French countryside confront a growing crisis as wild boars devastate their crops. The situation escalates when Brun, a bankrupt farmer, faces pressure from members of a gentlemen’s hunting club, who exacerbate the problem by feeding the game. After an altercation with the club’s president leads Brun to shoot him, he goes into hiding. A year later, police officer Fulda arrives to investigate the murder while dealing with his own recent breakup and increasing stress from the rampant boar population. As Fulda delves deeper into the case, he finds himself under pressure from both the local community and his own mental state. The conflict between farmers and hunters intensifies, leaving the characters in a precarious situation. With the wild boars continuing to proliferate and tensions mounting, the film concludes without resolution, highlighting the chaos that ensues in this rural setting. The cast includes Alexis Manenti, Ella Rumpf, Mathieu Perotto, and Xavier de Guillebon.
