The History of Concrete

Description

This documentary-comedy hybrid presents a unique approach to filmmaking by combining elements of traditional documentary with the formulaic structure of a Hallmark movie. The narrative follows filmmaker John Wilson as he attends a workshop aimed at teaching how to write and sell Hallmark films. Inspired, he attempts to apply these techniques to market a documentary about concrete, leading to unexpected comedic situations. Throughout the film, Wilson encounters various challenges as he interacts with industry professionals and explores the multifaceted world of concrete. The cast includes Michael Imperioli, Jacob Elordi, Timothée Chalamet, and Sam Richardson, who contribute to the humor and absurdity of his quest. As Wilson attempts to create a compelling pitch, the film showcases an array of interviews and creative endeavors that highlight the often-overlooked significance of concrete in everyday life.
