The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford

Description

Kenneth, a tour guide in the Scottish village of Arberloch, is determined to honor the legacy of Sir Douglas Weatherford, an inventor from the eighteenth century. His commitment to preserving Weatherford's history is tested when a popular fantasy series selects Arberloch as its filming location, leading the townspeople to embrace modern fan culture over their historical figure. As the community's fascination with the fantasy series grows, Kenneth's mental state deteriorates. He becomes increasingly isolated in his efforts to keep Weatherford's memory alive amid a shifting cultural landscape. The film features a cast that includes Peter Mullan and Gayle Rankin, and unfolds entirely in Arberloch.
