The Condor Daughter

Description

This drama intertwines music with the realities of life in a small indigenous community high in the Andes. The film follows Clara, a teenager raised by her adoptive mother, a midwife who has taught her the ancient songs that accompany childbirth. While Clara's voice upholds these traditions, she yearns to leave the mountains and pursue a career as a folkloric music star in the city. The cast includes María Magdalena Sanizo, Marisol Vallejos Montaño, Nely Huayta, and Alisson Jimenez. As Clara struggles between her commitment to her heritage and her dreams of a different life, her aspirations come into conflict with the expectations of her community. This tension culminates in a pivotal moment when she must choose between the ancient songs that connect her to her past and the allure of a new future. The characters are left facing uncertain paths, caught between tradition and ambition.
