Description

A courier-turned-salvager wants to recover a compact fusion core that was stolen from a municipal archive, and corporate security plus an autonomous enforcement unit stand in the way. The plot follows a series of targeted incursions: breaking into transport convoys, falsifying access codes, and a contested handoff at a derelict orbital elevator. Sequences are described in specific operational detail—boarding procedures, vehicle modifications, and close-quarters exchanges—while animation choreographs the tactical exchanges and mechanical hazards. Steelay (original title: 스틸레이) is an Action / Science Fiction animated feature that stages escalating confrontations between private security forces, improvised combat teams and sentient machines. The film presents its incidents as a chain of missions and countermeasures, ending each act with the protagonists forced to relocate their operation. The story takes place inside a fortified coastal megacity where corporate-controlled infrastructure channels power, goods and conflict. Released in 2026.
