Shadow on a marble tablet

Description

A marble tablet rests in a dimly lit room, its surface reflecting the faint glow of flickering candles. The feature-length experimental film "Shadow on a marble tablet" showcases the talents of Sílvia das Fadas and Patrick Londen as they engage with themes of memory and loss. The narrative weaves through fragmented scenes, presenting a series of abstract vignettes that juxtapose personal experiences against a broader existential inquiry. Accompanied by live performances from musician Grouper during her fall 2026 tour, the film emphasizes an auditory experience that complements its visuals. As the story unfolds, the characters confront their pasts, revealing their struggles to articulate unspoken emotions. The setting evokes a sense of introspection, culminating in a space where the tangible and intangible converge, ultimately grounding the experience in a profound exploration of human connection.
