*Říkají mi Lars* presents a modern twist on the hard-boiled detective genre, featuring private investigator Lars, who operates in contemporary Prague. Unlike traditional detectives, Lars is a rugged figure in a leather jacket, sporting a shaved head and a scruffy beard. After being dismissed from the police force for insubordination, he takes on various assignments that either help his clients or create chaos for others. His only remaining connection to his past life is his former partner Gold, who offers him a tempting opportunity that could change his fortunes. As Lars becomes embroiled in a web of crime and deception, he faces challenges that test his resolve and skills. The film’s narrative shifts to reveal how Lars must confront not only the criminal elements of the city but also the ghosts of his past and the consequences of his choices. The cast includes Leoš Noha and Martin Hofmann, bringing depth to this gritty tale of survival and moral ambiguity.
