Description

Kikunosuke, a 17-year-old boy, seeks vengeance for his father's murder by facing Sakubai, the former retainer responsible for the crime. Their confrontation occurs outside a theater after a performance of 47 Ronin, where Kikunosuke triumphs, ensuring his family's future is secure. Eighteen months later, Soichiro Kase, a ronin from Kikunosuke's domain, arrives at the same theater, appearing affable but with a hidden agenda. His curiosity about Kikunosuke's past and the murder incident raises alarm among the theater staff, including the barker Ippachi and the playwright Kinji. As Kase begins to probe deeper into the events surrounding the duel, tensions rise among those connected to the theater, who are wary of his intentions.
