Providence and the Guitar

Description

Léon and Elvira Berthelini, itinerant artists, face challenges as they travel through towns making a living from their performances. In Covarronca, they encounter difficulties with the local Police Commissioner, forcing them to seek shelter outdoors. Their chance meeting with Stubbs, a young Cambridge student, leads them to a painter's home, where tensions arise between the artist and his wife. The Berthelinis offer a reminder that the love of art can mend the struggles in relationships. As the story unfolds, an unusual curse sends the group on bizarre adventures into the 21st century, where they find themselves entangled in issues concerning social security and the fate of a rock band. The film features a cast that includes Jenna Thiam and Manuel Mozos, highlighting the intersection of art, love, and absurdity in their quest for stability amidst chaos.
