Description

Fourteen-year-old Tamara Eremenko faces a struggle for survival in besieged Leningrad during the winter of 1942. When a convoy of mail trucks arrives in the city for the first time in months, the Main Post Office urgently needs mail carriers. To protect her sister and endure the harsh winter, Tamara takes on the task of delivering six letters, which will determine her eligibility for a position as a postman. As she delivers the letters, Tamara encounters various challenges that test her resolve and resourcefulness. The film highlights her determination to secure a job that could provide a lifeline for her and her sister amid the dire circumstances of wartime Leningrad.
