Kim Dong-ho, the founder of the Busan International Film Festival, takes up a camcorder for the first time at the age of eighty-five to document the struggles of cinemas in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As beloved theaters close due to declining audiences, he reaches out to filmmakers and cinephiles around the world in an effort to reconnect with his past and gather their insights on the future of cinema. The cast includes Park Jeong-min, Yang Kuei-mei, and Kim Dong-ho. Throughout his travels, Kim reflects on the changes affecting the film industry and the memories tied to the theaters he visits. His conversations reveal a shared concern for cinema’s legacy and resilience amidst transformation.
