Moth
Description
Eight burning suns rise and fall over a fractured America, where digital ghosts linger in abandoned landscapes. The film follows a solitary avatar traveling through deserts, suburbs, cornfields, casinos, and simulated worlds, searching for meaning amid a culture saturated with images. In this setting, shut-ins remain at the edges of contemporary life, disconnected from the shifting realities around them. The cast includes Corin Wiggins, Esmé Eubanks, Brian Shaw, and Katie Mazzini. As the avatar journeys through these decaying environments, significant encounters unfold, revealing the impact of an image-driven society on individual lives. Shifts in perception occur as characters confront their own existence, raising questions about identity and the nature of reality. The narrative highlights the contrast between the remnants of a tangible past and the ephemeral nature of digital constructs, culminating in a cycle of decay and renewal.
