Description

During the Paris rebellion, young Louis XIV is hidden to protect him from danger and is secretly replaced at court by a look-alike. He takes refuge with Madeleine Béjart’s traveling theater troupe, where Molière has just joined, unaware of the true identity of their newest member. The cast includes Artus, Suzanne De Baecque, Noam Morgensztern, and Franck Dubosc. Entrusted to the care of the musketeer-poet Cyrano de Bergerac, Louis experiences the world of theater, while Cyrano attempts to manage the young king’s arrogance and clumsiness. As the story unfolds, Cyrano begins to write a bold play for the troupe, which Molière then transforms with his comedic talent, igniting his own artistic genius and deepening his feelings for Madeleine. Meanwhile, the young king discovers the joy of friendship and the transformative power of theater. However, intrigue in Paris threatens to expose the masquerade, leaving the characters to face the challenges of maintaining their secrets and the consequences of their choices.
