Labrador — Autopsy of Silence

Description

"Labrador — Autopsy of Silence" is a thriller that employs a reverse narrative to investigate a murder aboard a cargo ship. As the vessel embarks on its final voyage to resupply Inuit communities in northern Canada, the cook is discovered dead in his cabin during a storm. With twenty crew members, including an Inuit mechanic named Alupa, as potential suspects, the film shifts focus from the investigation back to the stormy night of the murder, challenging conventional whodunit structures. Beyond the mystery, the film also examines deeper societal issues, including race and class dynamics among the crew. Relationships are tested as the investigation unfolds, revealing tensions and complexities that complicate the search for truth. The cast includes Christopher Angatookalook, Alexandre Landry, Gabrielle Poulin, and Jassinth Thiagarajah, who contribute to the film's exploration of personal and collective conflicts.
