JunkTown: Far Away and Long Ago

Description

Hunter Whaley returns to Colorado to help spread his grandfather's ashes, a task that takes him from the bustling developments of Grand Junction to the unpaved roads of Yampa. The film captures the physical changes in the landscape alongside the emotional shifts in Whaley's life as he reconnects with his past and the people he once knew. Much has transformed since the events of "JunkTown: A Love Letter," but some connections remain steadfast. As Whaley confronts the passage of time, he reflects on enduring friendships and family ties. "JunkTown: Far Away and Long Ago" is set in a contemporary Colorado that juxtaposes rapid urban growth with the nostalgia of rural life.
