Description

Rico, a young man raised in Melbourne, falls in love with Santun, the daughter of Kiai Umar, a respected leader of an Islamic boarding school. Their relationship develops as Rico learns to appreciate religious values through Santun, viewing their love as a form of worship. However, their romance is challenged when Santun's father has already arranged her betrothal to Ustad Salman, a man chosen by her parents. As the couple confronts the realities of their differing backgrounds and familial expectations, Santun must decide between her love for Rico and her obligations to her family. Meanwhile, Rico faces the challenge of reconciling his feelings for Santun with the cultural and religious boundaries that separate them.
