I Deserve a Lover Whose Every Rise Sets Fiery Dooms Raging Across the Skies

Description

A collection of photographs, documents, and discarded objects fills the improvised museum created by two Iranian artists, reflecting the forgotten narratives of marginalized lives. As they sift through their vast private archive, remnants of sex workers, young soldiers, child laborers, gay lovers, and ordinary families emerge, revealing the traces of history left behind. The film unfolds between Tabriz and Tehran during the weeks following the Twelve-Day War, contextualizing the artists’ work against the backdrop of escalating tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States. Throughout the film, the artists' obsession with preservation leads them to confront the ethical implications of their collection. They engage with the stories behind the artifacts, illuminating the struggles and resilience of those captured in their archive. As the conflicts intensify, the artists' commitment to uncovering these lost lives becomes increasingly urgent, culminating in a moment of revelation that challenges their understanding of memory and identity.
