FLAPJAX

Description

A fast-food restaurant's kitchen buzzes with activity as the over-eager manager seeks to revive a highly addictive menu item known as "FLAPJAX." Facing bankruptcy, he enlists the help of his estranged mother, a faded pop-star called Popo, to promote the item. As the promotional campaign unfolds, the manager uncovers the company's hidden motives and confronts his unresolved mommy issues. The film blends science fiction, comedy, and horror elements, creating a narrative that oscillates between absurdity and dark humor. With a cast that includes Lloyd Kaufman, Gabriel Cagan, Georgia Kate Haege, and Madeline Barbush, the story unfolds with rapid pacing and a mix of bizarre scenarios. The humor remains sharp, while the underlying horror of corporate greed adds a twisted dimension to the plot.
