Myeong Wol's body is subjected to various forms of erasure, including being cut, drowned, burned, and buried, as the film investigates the concept of eumhwa, which represents erotic imagery and hidden narratives. Part I focuses on the colonial courtesan's body, utilizing metaphors of peaches, parasites, and film to examine the eroticism of rumor. The documentary employs experimental techniques to convey the elusive nature of these images and the stories they tell. Part II shifts to a reinterpretation of 79 experimental films, utilizing negative found footage to further illustrate the theme of vanishing bodies and the blooming of eumhwa. This segment demonstrates how the remnants of these images can transform into new expressions of eroticism and memory. The film presents a layered analysis of cultural history through the lens of erotic imagery and cinematic experimentation.
