Early Winter's Sorrow

Description

An elderly writer arrives in an abandoned village where only derelict houses remain. He visits the farm of his childhood, confronting memories of a place transformed since his departure. The village, once peaceful, is now plagued by robberies and threats following the construction of a new bridge. The writer’s family had relocated to a remote farming community, where they hoped to find safety and stability. However, their lives are disrupted by the presence of Russian soldiers, who monitor the village from the air and conduct harassing visits. The film presents personal stories adapted from the novels of Revaz Inanishvili, reflecting the struggles of a small community in the face of external threats. The cast includes Vato Gelashvili and Baia Kereselidze. As the characters confront their past and the changes to their way of life, they are left facing an uncertain future, with the specter of violence looming over them.
