Dream High

Description

A crowded schoolyard serves as the battleground for Yoav, a teenage boy who moves to a new city with his single mother. At Magshimim High, the social hierarchy is dictated by rhyming skills, where a rap battle against the "class king" leaves him determined to prove his worth and win over Maya, the "class queen." With the help of Hamorabi, a former rapper disguised as the school’s kiosk cashier, Yoav transforms from an outcast into a contender for the title of Star of the Battles. As he ascends in popularity, Yoav finds himself drifting away from his loyal friends and the authenticity taught by Hamorabi. The film culminates in the National Rap Championship, where Yoav faces a critical choice: pursue the allure of fame or remain true to himself and those who supported him along the way. The cast includes Amir Banai, Yael Shelbia, Noam Kleinstein, and Yonatan Horenczyk.
