Description
34-year-old Moscow writer Igor Angelevskiy has failed for the third time to win Russia's main literary prize. After the award ceremony, his wallet is stolen, containing the only memory of his mother. In response to the theft, 20-year-old pickpocket Aldar becomes intrigued by Angelevskiy's books and seeks him out. As Aldar reads, he finds inspiration in the writer's work and decides to become his student. Igor recognizes Aldar's storytelling potential, seeing in him a young man with rich life experiences. Their unlikely friendship begins to develop. The film blends elements of comedy and drama as it follows the pair's evolving relationship. Igor deals with his professional disappointments while Aldar learns about literature and life. Their interactions reveal both humor and deeper reflections on creativity and connection. With moments of levity and unexpected poignancy, the film moves quickly through their story, highlighting the contrast between their worlds and the power of storytelling. The cast includes Vladimir Mayzinger, Egor Koreshkov, David Sokratyan, and Anna Chipovskaya.
