Chunks

Description

Faded Hollywood starlet Ruby hosts an anthology film comprised of six unique comedy shorts. Each segment is distinct, featuring both live action and animation that draws inspiration from the quirky aesthetics of late-night public access television. The cast includes Ruby McCollister, Carson Lund, Michael Basta, and Ike Barinholtz. The live action shorts originate from creators associated with Podcast About List, Sandy Honig, Nate Fisher, and Will Senett, while the animated segments come from Episode 1, Jim Soper, Nick Mullen, and Saul Crinier. As each short unfolds, Ruby introduces the characters and situations they find themselves in, often leading to absurd and humorous predicaments. The eclectic mix of storytelling styles leads to unexpected twists, leaving the characters in precarious situations without a clear resolution. By the end, the audience is left with unresolved scenarios, highlighting the whimsical nature of each short.
