Description

Vilma, at 45, is living the life she envisioned, residing in a beachfront house in one of Costa Rica’s exclusive tourist areas. Anticipating the annual arrival of her American partner, she finds herself isolated when he fails to show up and cuts off communication. As the days pass, Vilma faces the reality of her situation when financial resources begin to dwindle. With the tourist atmosphere surrounding her, Vilma must confront her solitude and the illusion of paradise without support. The film illustrates her struggle as she balances the remnants of her dreams against the starkness of her new reality. The cast includes María Luisa Garita Ramírez, and the narrative unfolds with a mix of dark humor and tension as Vilma's circumstances shift dramatically.
