As the Spring Arrives, Water Recalls the Nomads

Description

A group of shepherds seeks to maintain their traditional way of life in the Çukurova valley of Turkey, following the paths laid down by their nomadic ancestors. They confront the challenges posed by modernity and environmental changes, which threaten their pastoral ecosystems. The film incorporates archival footage and theoretical correspondence to reflect on the history and gradual disappearance of these practices. As the shepherds travel, they face the realities of an evolving landscape and shifting societal expectations. The cast includes Mahmut Alasırt, Kadir Yılmazyiğit, Neva Yılmazyiğit, and İbrahim Musab Curabaz. The film concludes without providing a clear resolution, leaving the characters in a state of uncertainty about the future of their way of life and the ecosystems they depend on.
