An Abandoned World
Description
A mother and her son seek refuge in an isolated house situated between a mountain and a lake after the father mysteriously disappears. Their lives become defined by confinement as they wait for a return that seems increasingly unlikely. Within this solitude, they confront their grief, as memories and silence intertwine, revealing the depth of their loss and the layers of emotion it brings. The film features Inés Efrón, Alfonso Tort, and Borja Recalde in its cast. The narrative unfolds slowly, allowing time to stretch and emphasizing the weight of absence. As the mother and son navigate their shared sorrow, the film presents a reflective and intimate portrayal of saying goodbye, filled with moments of melancholy and introspection. The pacing is deliberate, offering a contemplative look at grief rather than rushing towards resolution.
