All God's Colors
Description
The film takes place inside Copenhagen's Enghave Kirke, known as the "Queer Church," and follows the lives of two key figures within this community. Viggo Julsgaard Jensen, a gay pastor, confronts his internal struggle between faith and sexuality while advocating for an inclusive understanding of God's love. Alongside him is Bo Hagen Clausen, the church warden, who actively integrates his drag persona, Ramona Macho, into church activities, contributing to a culture of acceptance and celebration. As the church becomes a center for LGBTQ+ visibility, it also attracts significant opposition from conservative religious groups. The film documents the protests and ideological clashes that arise, including events such as Children's Pride, which highlight the community's mission. Tension escalates as Viggo and Bo work to maintain the church as a radical sanctuary while facing fierce resistance from detractors, leading to crucial developments in their advocacy efforts.
