Phitthaya Phaefuang and his collaborators, Ong Xing Kai and Xyza Ragunjan, work to establish Ballroom communities in Southeast Asia, aiming to create safe spaces for individuals facing discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and race. These communities serve as havens against homophobia, transphobia, color discrimination, and the stigma associated with HIV, drawing inspiration from the Black and Latinx underground Ballroom culture of New York. The film documents their efforts to build these inclusive environments, showcasing the challenges they encounter and the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community in the region. Set in Southeast Asia, "10s Across the Borders" highlights the transformative power of self-expression through dance and performance, illustrating how marginalized groups can forge their own paths in a world that often rejects them.
